After a short 6 months, I was recruited by America Online to work as a Web Producer in their Small Business division. The turbulent tech ride began as technology companies began laying off people in droves. My next stop was at Palm, Inc. I worked as a contractor until I took another, more stable position as a Web Producer for Sun Microsystems. During the ups and downs of the tech bubble in the early 2000′s, I readjust my priorities and began focusing on more important things — family and helping people. My wife and I decided to move back from the Bay Area to be closer to our families so we could start a family. In 2003, we bought our first home, started a family and I began working for Stratmark/is7, a company who helps non-profits raise money online. After a couple years at is7, the president of Stratmark started a software company focused on providing a means to help non-profits succeed online and with my prior software experience I couldn’t wait to help.

Sun Microsystems 2002 – 2003

• Defined and wrote marketing and business requirements documents for web applications, determined project scope, resources and budget. I managed a group of developers and engineers to ensure that the requirements are being met on time and within budget, and manages the day-to-day web site production of Sun’s Internal and External partner sites.

• My primary responsibility was the development of the Channel Marketing web site, including design and UI. I also reviewed functional requirement documents, coordinated cross functional teams to implement those requirement documents, and performed quality assurance on the executed product.

• Managed technical integration of B2B partners using AOL’s core technologies: Screen Name Service, Business Profile Exchange and AOL Quick Checkout. Successfully integrated and launched over 15 partners including Office Depot, Kinko’s and Network Solutions.

• During my 4 years, I worked as a Technical Support agent assisting customers with the installation of Creative Labs products, an Internet Programmer responsible for the development of the companies many web sites and finally as the lead of the web production group as the Internet Production Specialist.
